Sync problem with MD

Sync problem with MD

2005-09-16 by gigolo_heidi

Hi everyone,

I've got an odd problem with the md - i'm using an MPC4000 as the
master clock in my studio going through a motu express xt midi
patchbay. When it is sync'd everything is fine - i hit start and the
machine drum starts at the right bpm. However, sometimes i need to
turn sync off (so someone can write on the machinedrum while i write
something else on mpc etc.) - I do this by turning all the midi
receive clock and start/stop off on the machinedrum - but when i do
this, things sometimes go crazy - tempo on the machinedrum seems to be
something random (not the internal tempo - or the internal tempo keeps
changing to some value) and position information from the MPC seems to
affect the machinedrum - i.e. if i navigate around the bars on the
MPC, the machinedrum moves around too even though the sync/start/stop
is all set to not receive on the MD - any ideas?

Monomachine tempo led

2005-09-18 by roby

Hello,
Is it me or is the led tempo light on the monomachine flashing on the up
beat of the tempo, compared to the machinedrum which flashes on the down
beat?

It flashes on the upbeat. It still messes me up. I wonder if it's
intentional.

Doesn't seem to be on all programs though, some are okay, and others not. Weird.

Cool, at least I know I don't have a broken monomachine.
