THE MACHINEDRUM CONTEST (Deadline at end of november)

THE MACHINEDRUM CONTEST (Deadline at end of november)

2005-10-19 by tahvenaine2002

Hello everybody! The MD contest is happening at
www.elektron-users.com! We will do our contest entrys using only
EFM-CB machine and upload the mp3s to elektron-users.com.
Elektron-users.com also have discussion boards for MD, MnM and
Sidstation. You might want to take a look!

Here is the final instructions for the contest:

1) you can only use the EFM-CB machine
2) you get to do one pattern
3) song mode is OK (chop it, whatever)
4) the maximum mp3 file lenght is about one minute
5) you also need to post the sysex file for the kit/pattern/song
(this is a learning experience for the people, after all)
6) you can record tracks seperately if you wish, but you may not add
any external processing to them; *only* Machinedrum "FX Master"
may be used for effects
7) Ctrl-machines are ok to use also. Do not use Ram-machines from UW
(they are nice, but this contest focuses on synthesis and sample
playback would not be logical).

You have until the end of the November to submit your entry.

Toni.

That's not what I meant. I do not know how to get the
sysex file off my machine ie I have no idea what it
is.

Oh. I don't have an MD, so I can't cant give specifics. On the Mono,
however, there is a Global feature that allows you to dump various sysex
files (patterns, kits, etc.) to an external device such as a computer.

Re: [elektron] THE MACHINEDRUM CONTEST (Deadline at end of november)

2005-10-19 by John Gellings

That is what I was afraid of. I don't connect
anything to my computer via Midi...so I guess I will
not be able to be in the contest.

You could upload the mp3 anyway, just for fun.

Hmmm...I just noticed my Audio Interface has Midi...so
I should be able to figure it out by the end of Nov.
