SIDStation OS version & stuff

Well I e-mailed Elektron's support addy and they're taking literally -forever- to reply, so I thought I'd ask here from people who may have had similar problems w/ the SIDStation. My SIDStation came with OS v1.11 R34, but the web page says the latest is OS 1.1 R33. This has led me to believe that my SIDStation came with a beta version of it's OS, and that in itself may be the cause of certain problems I've had: 1) SysEx dump of ALL PATCHES sends less than 1kb of data. When it does this, the memory is corrupted (all patches in SIDStation's memory are gone and it locks up, have to reset)... and the SysEx dump--trying to dump it back--does nothing but corrupt it again. All other SysEx files (from their webpage for example) that contain "all patches" are roughly 20-35kb files. 2) When I try playing a sequence of different patches (even at slow speeds), it sounds muffled. This may be to do with the SID chip, or not. I try basic sequences alternating between my BD, hihat, and snare patches, and when it's sequenced like that and switches between patches the patches sound nothing like they do when you play one of them alone. Anyone else had these problems? Would downgrading to OS v1.1 R33 at least fix problem #1? Is it even possible to downgrade the SIDStation's OS with a lower version? -Nick/planetoid http://www.mp3.com/planetoid
