just reading through the manual some more...

2 amps at 6 volts?  crikey!  with all the problems people had with
sidstation power supplies, I had hoped elektron would have learned from
their mistakes and made provisions for a little more slop in power
supplies.  that's a significant current draw for an external wall wart-
style power supply...  or are we now cursed with the "python" style?

why not 12V and use a DC-DC convertor or just regulate it down?
