The 8 knobs thing is just the way Live 6's macros are set up, I don't
think they intentionally copied that :)  Unless you meant something
else?

Yeah, if you compare it to 
http://www.elektron.se/img/common/header_nologo.gif

and look at the colors, the type-face and even the naming. It can't be 
coincidence :)

First I thought that this was somekind of control surface thingie for Live (I 
don't have Live nor Machinedrum...) The presense of Elektron brand is quite 
strong.
