Cool tune man, I like it! Good mix, nice and minimal but not boring at all. The MD sounds great, nicely done. The sound you refer to comes from littlegptracker, a tracker I'm writing for the GP2x (korean gameconsole). The sound in itself has not the 'quality' of a SID coz it's all based on sample. It's just using the typical arpegiatto gimmick used on lot of early trackers to compensate for the limited amount of channel, hence the feel. The original song (this is a remix) was a pure littlegptracker one. I decided to 'strip' it and go for more produced and minimalist approach.
