Copy Pattern VS Copy Track?

Copy Pattern VS Copy Track?

2007-10-08 by Ronald Young

Hello all!

I juat picked up a Machinedrum (its wonderful!) and I have a quick question...

On page 42 of the manual it states (under PATTERN COPY:)

" 1. Make sure you are in GRID COMPOSING mode, indicated by the <RECORD> led giving
off a stedy light."

Is this wrong? (a typo in the manual?)

Well....it seems to me that when this <RECORD> led is ON (not flashing) you can only copy
a TRACK.

And when the <RECORD> led is OFF or BLINKING you can copy a PATTERN...

Is the manual wrong here? or am missing something?

Thanks!

You are correct. If record is lit, you copy the current track, if record
is off, you copy the entire pattern.

[elektron] pitch change question?

2007-11-04 by zack webb

greetings tweeks & tweekettes,

I have my machinedrum rigged up to external effect unit and got a sweet bass drum hit out of it. i want a sequence w/ pitch change built in without tweekin the knobs manually during playback. is there a way to set this automatically during playback? thanks in advance for any insight. -z

Tweak the any of the knobs while recording on the MD and it will
record your movements. It might be a good idea to have a quick glance
at the manual!! --- In elektron-users@yahoogroups.com, "dominik

Press play and record, then tweak away!
Maybe take a tiny peak at the manual also!
