To control my Machinedrum with my Evolution UC-33

To control my Machinedrum with my Evolution UC-33

2007-11-04 by vincent_lepage

Hello,

I'm a happy owner of the Machinedrum.
I work with ABLETON LIVE and I would like to controll all MD's
parameters with my MIDI controller UC-33.

That's my conf :

- MacBook PRO Intel
- Sound card PRESONUS Firebox
- ABLETON LIVE 6.0.10
- Korg R3 (Hard)
- Machinedrum (Hard)
- Evoultion UC-33 (MIDI controller)
- M-AUDIO Axiom 49 (MIDI controller)

The MIDI IN and MIDI OUT enter in my sound card.
The MIDI THRU of my KORG R3 go to the MIDI IN of my Machinedrum

KORG R3 is sync with LIVE and the MD is sync with the KORG R3.

My AXIOM 49 and my UC 33 go to the PC by USB.

I can draw all the MD Patterns in LIVE with my AXIOM 49 keyboard. That
means that the MIDI messages were received by the MD. But, I would
like to control all MD's parameters (DEC, DEL, DIST, ...) with the
knobs of the UC-33. Example, Prg 1 on the UC-33 is the BD on MD and
each knob on UC-33 control 1 parameter on MD (example, Knob 1 on UC-33
= DEC parameter on MD).

How can I configure my UC-33 to reach this goal ?

Cheers,
Vincent

Get the handy CC chart from this list's files section and,
referring to that, program your UC-33 with the
Evolution/M-Audio's Enigma software.

I found that there were many parameters I rarely use, so
I eventually simplified my UC-33e profile to accomodate only
the first page and parts of the second and third. Made it a
lot easier. Sliders rock with the MDUW.
