Elektron Musical Instruments

Haven't had a chance to load the new OS on my classic MDUW. Has anyone 
checked if we got the 64 tracks and what are you initial impressions so 
far.

Hey,
It's awesome. AFAIK there aren't 64 steps (it's not accessible on Scale Setup anyway) but the new FX controls are great. Just made some really trippy stuff I haven't done before. Also the FX params are much easier to access now for on-the-fly tweaking.

It looks like they fixed a number of outstanding bugs in
addition to the useful additions:

UW Only: Triggering a RAM play machine prior to triggering
the corresponding RAM record machine could sometimes cause
the machine to freeze. Fixed.

Changing between MIDI Machines and Audio Machines didn't
reload parameters correctly. Fixed.

UW Only: Copying a sample from a RAM slot to a ROM slot
could sometimes introduce glitches in the ROM sample. Fixed.

UW Only: Retrigging samples where start and endpoint were
too close resulted in a DSP crash. Fixed.

UW Only: RAM play machines could not be silenced by
2x[STOP]. Fixed.


This, plus page copy, lockable FX parameters and extended
undo operations.  Bravo, Elektron.

I swear I have seen animated param locks, but when I booted the  
machine this morning, I don't see it anymore. I was all "yeah animated  
knobs how cool", but now they're not there anymore?
