Yeah I thinkm the Sid is a good choice for ya... Keep in mind that with no prior subtractive synthesis experience, you're going to have to tackle that as you go but its pretty simple.. The Sid is great fun to program. Learning by reverse engineering the factory patches is a good way to go and there are lots of little FAQ's and primers online about subtractive synthesis.. Keep in mind also that the SS is only one (usually mono) voice though... This might not be what youre looking for if its your only synth. That is IF you're doing this to make music live. But for a multi track setup, or for just having fun programming and listening to the cool sounds, the SS cant be beat!! have fun ~Steve M [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
