New MD Owner here...

New MD Owner here...

2001-10-24 by Analogue

Greets Everyone,

I am new owner of the MD, and an owner of it's cousin, the sidstation.
I have to say that the MD really does have a sound way ahead of any
percussive element that I have worked with in the past. I especially love
the extended pattern based editing, keeps me as far away from logic as
possible. :-)

The reason that I am writing this list, is that i noticed my 2 function
rotaries (for patch editing) seem to kinda be wobbly, and rub a little hard
when turning. Is this a normal behavior? Everything else on the box is
rock-solid. Actually this appears from just initial feel to be one of the
best built pieces of kit that I own.

Good Work Elektron! You have yet to amaze me with yet another box..
Hopefully my attachment to this machine will grow even stronger as it has
with the sidstation.

Outside of that.. Does anyone here have a place where ppl can swap
kits/patterns, etc? I would love to share some of the things I have put out
already, and see what others have done..

Regards,
Ryan

Hey,

MIDI:
Am I doing something wrong?
I send a Midi Clock from the Master Sequencer MPC.
MD is slave.
Ok they start simultaneousely. But the tempo
of both machines is independent. They dont sync.
Do I have to set the MD on "slave" mode somewhere?

Single Out:
I have the BD on single out C. I put it through some
nice Compressors, and there is a noise coming with it.
It\ufffds not very loud, but it\ufffds some kind of constant noise
that you normally try to avoid when you record things.

anybody knows something?

Ciao
Splank

Be very careful if you try what splank says. It is easy to damage the
encoders that way. Your better off e-mailing the guys at Elektron and asking
their advice. Help is usually very quick! Congratulations on your MD!
