Question about ordering

2001-12-24 by - 21 -

Hi, I'm trying to order a Machinedrum. I was wondering of all of you who
have ordered from elektron.. Can they process a credit card transaction
with the credit card number alone? Because I see no place for me to select
WHICH credit card I'm using. Thanks.

The only credit card they accept is Visa, if you don't have a visa card, you
have to wire transfer the money

Yay! The order went through! I guess the third time's a charm. I
hope they aren't on extended Christmas vacation. This is my
christmas present to myself.

I think you'll receive 3 Machinedrums now! :-))))

They use DHL overnight express afaik, so it should be there pretty soon.
I don't know how DHL handles deliveries during the holidays.

By the way, the new OS is really GREAT! I really like the new synth
models and I'm very pleased about the midi muting which I had asked for!
These guys REALLY listen to their customer base!!!

Cheers,

You were not alone in asking for the midi muting. :)

Plus now we've got pattern chaining too, and suddenly it turns out to
be one of the best machines available for live usage. Go go go!

The only reason why I'm not upgrading right now is that I'm waiting
for more bugs to be fixed, and I haven't dunped my old patterns and
drumkits yet. That process seems kind of tedious to me.

I brought the MD to my parents now, plus a 303. External
input+distortion works really good! Then add some sample rate
reduction, a bit of AM, EQ and the resonant filter of the MD. Yay!
Sonic mayhem! :)

There are indeed still many issues to be ironed out. I got some
problems/bugs with 1.09b.

It's funny to see all the diferent ways people are using their MD's. I
personally use it with Logic as a sequencer and record all automation
etc right into Logic. Because the knobs send out midi, it only takes
seconds to record everything etc... I love this machine!

Joeri

Ok. I'll wait until next year with upgrading, hopefully some of those
issues have been fixed by then.

Ah!

I'm waiting for the first major hit, radio or club, to feature the
MD. This machine kicks some serious ass! :)

Right now I'm thinking of putting togehter some song with only the
MD+303. Using the external inputs and the internal effects of the MD
you don't even need a mixer. Pure silverbox music!

The only thing I wish for when it comes to the external input machines
is a compressor/expander/limiter on each external input machine. The
volume of the 303 varies quite a bit depending on the filter
frequency/resonance/accent and such.

Does Elektron provide DHL tracking information once a unit is shipped?

I could be mistaken but I believe that after you ordered, you get a
confirmation mail with tracking number once everything has been processed..
If you're not sure, just mail them, they're great folks.
