AW: [elektron] Clickclick

2002-05-30 by splank

I dont know where it comes from. Its always there.
Appearing every 30sec or 3 minutes.
Small clickckckckckckc.
I think you wouldnt notice if there was no delay on it.
Like the others said, even when it doesnt play.

Yes! I'm glad I'm not alone. I sent a bug report on this a week ago, and
I've been notified that a developer is looking into it.

It's not a "click" in a sound or so. It's just an occasional click
throughout the MD. I've tried to narrow it down in a detailed bug
report. It's not related to any machine. It only happens after you hit
one note (or more of course) and then just leave the machine alone... at
some point you'll hear a click and it'll appear regularly (every couple
of minutes). Nothing to worry about, but nice if it could be gone.

Cheers,
Joeri

Did shutting off the delay and lfo manage to make the click cease?

I have it too. For a while I thought it came from inputmachines with nothing
plugged into the input, but I'm not sure anymore... What I am sure of is
that it goes thru the delay, as other have stated. I've even had it panned
and bouncing left-to-right-to-left a couple of times. Seems to be a very
short spike when looking at recorded data. That's all I know.

Yep, sometimes panned and bouncing thru delay and sometimes dead-center. The
delay L > R > L > R bouncing is prbably different depending of the 'Mono'
setting in the delay tho, but I allways have mine in 'bounce-mode' because I
kinda like that :)

On a side note:
One very nice thing is letting an LFO control how much of a signal you send
to the delay and then letting another control the panning...
