It matters if you are using the Machinedrum as a slave and not the master.

I know if I have drum M4 programmed into any pattern, my MD will crash.
Elektron is aware of this bug.

Dug out my frozen MD yesterday, did a soft reset and its working
again as normal. Hurrah. Thanks to you guys. Elektron really need to
sort out there customer support. And when the hell do we get a bug
fix? Weve been stuck with this buggy version for ages.

Matt

WHAT???
Elektron has one of the best customer support ever.
They ALWAYS replied me, often during the same day.
They also taught me how to use the compressor :-)
But they DON'T write on this list... so if you want to speak with them,
you have to send an email to support@...

I get problems where the sound from the particular machine does not
make a sound I can hear. I wrote something like this before and I
can't explain why. I get scared when I think what might happen if I
tried M4.

I've been using the thing every night since I got it with only my
fatman (paia). I also get problems with it triggering notes on the
fatman from the drum patterns of the MD besides the notes I sequenced
in a mid machine for the fatman... Does this question make sense?

If you use the M4 drum, and your MD locks up (crashes) - simply turn of the
MD and when it comes back on, go into record mode and remove the M4 drum,
then your machine should work ok (sucks for me, and anyone else with this
problem, that the M4 drum is useless for now).
