Elektron Musical Instruments

Just ordered my MD and I hvae a question.  I looked through the manual
quickly and didn't notice if this was possible.  Is it possible to "Play"
the drums on each track via MIDI?  For example are there notes on the MIDI
keyboard which are mapped to just trigger the sounds for each track, so
perhaps I could sequence fills without using the MD sequencer?  On other
drum machines I've used with MIDI you could always map the individual sounds
from a kit to ranges of MIDI notes and trigger them that way.  Maybe I just
overlooked this functionality with the MD?  Thanks all
