Midi signal from Machinedrum?

Midi signal from Machinedrum?

2002-12-21 by Bastiaan van de Werk

My MD seems to be transmitting Midi-Data *all* the time. Even when it's not
doing anything the midi led in my midi-usb (ux256) keeps blinking.

Can I turn this 'feature' off?

cheers,

Bastiaan

hi

I sent my Yamaha UX256 back after i realised it did not transmit Sysex packets under WinXP latest drivers. It did work under Win98.

Which OS are you using?

I run win XP with the latest drivers for the UX256 (so It could be
those also). I also experienced Sysex problems that forced me to use
my midiman USB 2x2 to send and receive patches.

Anyway, it was the 'sync'. I never realised the MD was syncing when
it wasn't even running. Thanks.

Hi

well i'm sure the UX256 XP drivers were at fault for the sysex and it even says on the download that "some" problems have been cured.

MOTU fastlane USB devices also has problems sending sysex in XP but not on OSx.

Midiman is oK for all platforms

Thats my experience anyways.
