MD synced to MIDI problem

Hello, I'm trying to sync my Machinedrum to MIDI clock, but I have a problem with the MD switching to it's own internal clock. I am syncing the MD to an RS7000 which is synced to a Yamaha AW4416... In order to sync the RS7000, you have to hit play first and then it waits for the MIDI clock before it actually runs The MD gets the MIDI start when I press the play button on the RS, but it reverts to it's internal tempo before I start everything in sync, so it goes off on it's own, and when I do start the MIDI clock, it is in the wrong location of the bar even though it switches to EXT sync. Is there a way to turn off this 'revert to internal clock' function? I want the MD to sit and wait patiently for the MIDI clock. cheers ripe
