Hi Olivier,
This is a GREAT idea if possible!! It would allow more organic sounding
grooves.... happy days indeed!! I have also sugested to Elektron that
if they made the sends from the machines to the delay and reverb
PRE-fader this would allow eg; triplet time drums with the usual four
four. I
live in hope that they can squeeze a little more out of the DSP to give
us tricks like these, as they will allow ever more subtle and
interesting patterns..... yummy!

thanks, this is great indeed isnt it? the whole point of that time
offset is indeed to get more "organic" sounding grooves ie playing
around with that offset parameter (eg LFOing it) would allow some tiny
variations and the likes. that was precisely my idea but apparently
some people did not get my point. dunno if that would imply a tick
resolution sequencer, but isnt that the same technical feasibility as
implementing a swing parameter ?
for your record I asked Elektron and I got an answer from their support
department, they added it to the wish-list of future upgrades but did
not want me to expect that to be done in the future, as, as mentioned
earlier by another forum member, the sequencer is not expected to
change much.
I would be great though, as the patterns could be less rigid, less of
"squares" , and "rounder". in one word, phatter!!
if you listen to a detroit house track from the likes of Moodymann,
Theo Parrish, or NY boogie tracks from Daniel Wang or Morgan Geist,
you'll know what I'm talking about.... some 8th charleys are waaaay
upfront , giving a busy feeling to the tracks...
Well, in case they dont implement it, I'll have to do that with
software sequencer...
SECONDLY
I have to apologize, as apparently I was a bit offensive to Federico..
(been warned and moderated by daniel) but I have to mention I got his
initial reply ("I don't like the feature you're asking for") as
something being a bit offensive in the first place. God I guess I've
been living in London for far too long ! :-)
well Federico please accept my apologies then..
all the best
Olivier
