For those who ordered the MachineDrum from
Canada or USA, could you please tell me how
much you were charged for import charges
and taxes.

Thanks,

Ouch alright !
So you were charged TPS + provencial tax (which
province ?) AND import charges (around 100$ i guess).

Man, this makes this purchase even harder to justified.
The Can$ is getting better these days, it was ridicously low
for the past 3 years so i'll wait a few
more weeks to see if it gets stronger.

Thanks again,

Simon

In Canada, we are charges two taxes (around 15%)
in most province on almost all imported products.
Plus, the customs charge a Right Fee (6-7%) on
almost every package now.
AND, the CAn$ ain't worth a dollar
anymore ;)

Since they stopped using DHL and switched fed ex the import charges are a
bitch. I sent my MD back for the output repair after owning it for 1 year
and fed ex are still sending me bills even after i faxed them my original
reciept. bastards.
MD duty is $64, sid is $34. I wonder how much the monomachine duty will be??

ELEKTRON IF YOU CAN HEAR US SORT THIS OUT!!!!!
For $367 we can apply for swedish visas and move there.

Well, i need a car first. Then you have to pay for gas.
There is hours of waiting at the border since 9-11. Plus,
i have to declare it at the border, so i will be charged
for import taxes on the spot.

Moving to Sweden sounds like a good idea to me at this point. Who
wants to join me outside Elektron's offices to form a waiting line for
the Monomachine? :) We could bring our sidstations and MDs and hang a
sign that says "Will breakbeat for food"
