today i replaced an encoder in the MD. It really did feel like brain surgery or something, although i have not performed surgery on many brains i'll admit, i was very nervous. elektron sent me two encoders, one for spare which was thoughtful. i have to say that if anyoe was to try this themselves make sure you have the right size desoldering tips, because i did mangle one of the ground pads on the board. luckily it is half intact still. thanks for the advise from those who gave it no more faulty encoders.. time to play....lahonda --------------------------------- Yahoo!
