u all know what is really weird?

i mean, how many of us think about buying the monomachine?

i think about it too, i'm making plans how to get that much money till 
august (with my current loan it's nearly 2 months of work!)

what is weird: we all haven't heard any sound demos, nothing. elektron got 
us addicted :D

Any hardware synth with a half decent step sequencer gets my
attention. And any hardware synth that is BUILT AROUND a step
sequencer gets me salivating.

Everything else is secondary. Including the sound and the price. Icing
on the cake.

Ronald - You nailed it!  Especially when the sequencer
evolves from the MD one we all love.  The MM is going
to be sweet.

Personally, I don't think the price is excessive. 
Compare it with other synths in what should be the
same class and it's right in there.  I paid 2100 USD
for my Indigo 2 last summer and I'm hoping the MM will
fit right in.

I just hope Elektron continues their obsession for
detail and usability down to the keyboard action.  My
biggest complaint on the I2, and alot of other synths
in this class.  Anything around $2K should have solid,
weighted keys with good response and managable
after-touch, not bottom-out like a $200 Wall-Mart
Casio.  The I2 is better than most in its class, but I
shudder when I go from my S80 to the I2 - and the S80
is full-size and I paid $600 less.

Please Elektron, remember it is a Keyboard that feeds
art, grace and nuance - not a row of toggle switches
like some vendors treat their keys.  Gimme dem pots
and switches to tweak till dawn, but when I close my
eyes and brush those keys I want my fingers to feel
Inspiration not be jarred awry by some mechanical
gaggle of clicks, clacks, free-fall and thud.
