Hi,

I read you want to get machinedrum with american price tag. Well I did it
this way:

1. I bought the machinedrum from philadelphia via ebay
2. It was one of the early serires so it needed to get output's changed at
Elektron
3. I asked if it would be possible to have it return to elektron as a
warranty repair, it was ok.
4. Then they posted it to me from sweden as return pack! I'm in Finland.
5. So I got it without taxes from US to FInland, heh hee ;)

This could be the possible way, but only when there is something to be done
at elektron factory to machinedrum. I wouldn't advice to try anything
illegal with Elektron, since thay are very helpful guys. Ok, I admit this
was bending some rules, but Elektron guys thought it was ok.

Toni.

Well, thanks for the advice Joe, but as i say i'm in Ireland , which
means thats it 1350Euro($1600) new for me. So , as you can see,
there's a fair difference between average s/h prices (about 850Euro
$1000) and the new price.
Now, if i could find some way of getting one at the American prices
then that would be a different story :)
Anyone got any clever ideas ?

LOL, nice one !!
I'd say my chances of this working out for me are slim to none, nice
piece of work though :)
No, i absolutley dont want to "scam" Elektron in any way. I'd much
prefer to be giving them the $1100 that i can , just about , afford
so they can go on producing their great products.
