I think the first track with a SidStation on a 'real' CD was 'Handsome
3some' with "Do it again" from EMI music.. Which also features in the movie
'the Delivery'.. ;)

greetings from bopnique musique: a sci fi mambo lab
at the liquid center of the rhythm factory...

"real" CD by a record company.

i am sure it wasn't intended to sound condescending but
some of the most "real" cd's i've heard have been non label work.
i guess i want to believe anyone who puts heart and sweat and soul into a
c.d.,
deserves to be considered real as well

not trying to be a smartass just something that was on my mind, thought it
might spark some interesting conversation.
not flames.

kind regards,

ajr

Not being opinionated myself (i hope!) it would seem the real cd issue
is more a real music as opposed to non real music? My own experience is that
there are those who> create>and then consider it's worth on all levels and
those who...Produce>in order to sell. What we see in the music world is many
producers and mimickers...few creators (this must sound very dodgy and by
now you must be thinking..and this guy thinks he's a creator!.Personally i'm
not motivated by money..fame ..fortune and not
trying to be someone else or fit in with fashion/style or the glamour of the
moment..thats the key..true creation is timeless.....I would like to
to think that is the difference between real and unreal music or cd's.?
but hey..theres a need for real and un-real and it takes allsorts?shame
there is so much focus on style and money..fame and fortune..makes the world
go round?i'm not quite sure howlong this can last...make music with your
heart and mind..not your ego>i would imagine alot of sid users do...given
that as sid whilst stylish to a degree remains more of a creation than a
product....despite the fact it costs money!which remains a necessity (I'm
going in circles now)

p.s sid's well pissed off at this point...what's all the semi-mystical
opionated stuff>and bad spelling...i guess sid stands for creativity as
opposed to fashion and style?

P.s I'm also not trying to be a smartass but in the age of communication....

best wishes,

matt ...ishq

No shit? When was it released? My CD was released in May 1999. Should have been released Feb 1999 but the record company delayed it for some reason.

Maby I should have written "a CD pressed on aluminium by and released by a professional record company for the purpose of making money" ;-)

I think you're making a mountain out of a molehill. What the guy meant by
"real" CD was Commercial CD. I don't think that he really believes that
non-commerical music is not real! That would be absurd since we all know
that the only diffrence between Commercial music vs non-commercial is
something called: Marketing.
