Off Topic..: Akai Z8

I ask because I have basically decided to sell my A5K and get a Z8.

At least until the MachineDrum is better at supporting live drumming, I
need to sample it and trigger the sounds.

While I don't own a Z8, I've spent a lot of time working with an
MPC4000, which is a Z8 + beefed up MPC 2000xl + extra sauce. Frankly,
I don't like the Akai samplers as much as the EMU ones, but really you
can get a ton out of either.

If I were you, I'd get a Z4 instead. Far less money, not a lot less
power.

Why not trigger the sounds IN the MD rather than sample them?
Sampling just adds another layer of work and less control over the
sounds...

There are lots of reasons, well referenced in my previous messages to
this group.
