I guess either you sync them and have a 'song' in each of them or use the
feature that lets you trigger patterns from bank A using midi on notes:

Syncing the MD to a multitrack recorder

2003-07-26 by Arno van Goch

I'm considering buying a multitrack recorder and I was wondering if anyone
has any experience in syncing the MD to such a recorder. I expect that you
can't use the MD as a master, but how does it behave as a slave? Are there
some things I need to keep in mind when choosing a recorder?

In my set up the MD works better as a master. Especially for clock.
I don't use a multitrack.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
