MM sequencer note lengths (Daniel?)

MM sequencer note lengths (Daniel?)

2003-09-15 by ripe101

OK, I'm waiting for my MM to arrive!

Can you give a quick answer about how longer notes are entered into
the MM sequencer? I am assuming that since this is a keyboard synth
and not just a drum synth that you can enter notes of varying length
(not just notes that are one step long).

I saw on harmonycentral pics from messe that it seemed like there
were bi-color LEDs for the steps on the sequencer. Hopefully that
means you can press and hold the first step where the note begins and
then hit another step to specify the note length and and all the LEDs
in between light up a different color to show the note's length (like
on a futureretro mobius).

cheers

There are both Note_on and Note_off events for use in the sequencer, so
you can make the notes the length you want. You can also use only the
hold+decay if you don't want to hassle with note-offs.

Not exactly that way, but something similar!
