people have said that the group is filled, so no new files. do u think maybe we could get something together where we start another group for uploading demos and what not? maybe a monomachine dedicated group? and maybe a 2ndary machinedrum list? :D then we can have lots of demo funs with the monomachiners!

I can provide a file library on one of my servers. Could be via FTP, or I could make a quick file upload site with php, including a small browser. Maybe elektron would enjoy if I built this and allowed for people to upload patches, example audio, etc with descriptions. I'd love to contribute something to the community. Would you cats use a site like this? It would be relatively trivial for me to build. It'd be a great way for new MM users and potential buyers to see what it can do and learn how to do it. Thanks for offering to do it, BTW. Joe

It's better then splitting the yahoo groups. And my webspace is running short also :-) Ronald.

Looks like I'm going to be splitting time this weekend between a monomachine and emacs. ;-] On Tuesday, September 23, 2003, at 11:57 pm, Roonan wrote: > --- In elektron-users@yahoogroups.com, damon <damon@m...> wrote: > > I can provide a file library on one of my servers. I would love a secondary location to share MM patches and demos! If you could do that, it would be most helpful! stacey

I have cleaned up a little in the file area now, and put files in more organised folders. But there is so little space here (20mb)so I don't think we can hope to save any audio clips for long there. But at least there is space to store one or a few there now. I don't think the solution would be to start another yahoo group, because that would only give us a little extra space. The best would be with some specialised storage site. The problem is though that none of the sites that people set up seem to get very much attention and dies off pretty soon. There is a Machinedrum Wiki that someone set up once, maybe that would do... http://www.erekutro.com/md/wiki.cgi?Machinedrum If not maybe some other solution would be needed... Daniel

Yes I second (or third) the motion for another site for tips, info and other archived stuff so it would be easier for people to find info. The recorder I use (yamaha AW16G) has a great forum setup, something like it would be really cool. Or like Matt has suggested at the ampfea site. http://forum.aw16g.com/index.php --- In elektron-users@yahoogroups.com, "Matt Picone" <matman@m...> wrote:

It'll happen. I aim to please the users & Elektron. I love that company, they make me go bleep. Just give me a week and change. ;-] On Wednesday, September 24, 2003, at 08:16 AM, izfunky wrote: > Yes I second (or third) the motion for another site for tips, info > and other archived stuff so it would be easier for people to find > info. You could use soundclick.com which I've been raving about, I know. But it works well, quick. But the thing is, it's probably better to have people have their own sites and put the links in the files section. Another one is http://files.villagephotos.com/index.asp but I don't know how well this works with audio. You could make an available index for the public to download from on this site. --- In elektron-users@yahoogroups.com, "daniel_elektron" <daniel@e...> wrote: > --- In elektron-users@yahoogroups.com, "hal3001" <hal3001@y...> > wrote: > > people have said that the group is filled, so no new files. do u > > think maybe we could get something together where we start another > > group for uploading demos and what not? maybe a monomachine > > dedicated group? and maybe a 2ndary machinedrum list? :D then we > > can have lots of demo funs with the monomachiners! > > I have cleaned up a little in the file area now, and put files in > more organised folders.
