Octasid to load Sidstation presets ...

Octasid to load Sidstation presets ...

2003-09-24 by - funkelectric -

Just found that on kvr-vst.com forums ...

----------------------------

OctaSID is the successor to QuadraSID, which is SIDStation(tm)
compatible (sysex-import) and emulates up to eight SID-chips (so you
can play those patches with up to eight voices).

It's currently in development, but has been frozen, because we are
quite busy with other stuff that has come up in between.

Namely:

Xphraze (Steinberg)
VLP120 (Überschall)
Slayer2
JunoX2 follow-up
OctaSID

Xphraze is out of the way (for the moment, updates pending).
VLP120 is top priority now (nearly finished, just fixing bugs).
Slayer2 is also a top priority (70% finished).
JunoX2 follow-up (20% finished).
OctaSID (30% finished but frozen until at least Slayer2 is complete).

Cheers,
Mike

---------------------

That's nice, Octasid will load Sidstation presets!

Cheers

Cool! That's really a recognition. :) Now we'll finally see if the
hardware chip makes any difference. I think you'll miss the real
filter for sure... Can't wait to try it out.

Hi Daniel,

I have a Sidstation and the QuadraSid Plug-in (along with other Gameboy C64
stuff - retro head that I am).

I¹ve been looking forward to the Octo for awhile and what I¹m hoping is that
we see an explosion in patch banks for both products!!!

Tweak, tweak...

Cheers,
    Dave
