Development of polymode [Daniel]?

Development of polymode [Daniel]?

2003-11-12 by tahvenaine2002

Hi,

I guess some others are interested also how the sequencing in
polymode will be developed? I've tested the 'polyphonic' sequencing
on midi tracks and I must say I like the idea of having build chord
first and then you can copy/paste it around and change the root key,
very nice! Is this the way how we are going to make sequence in poly
mode?

If the polymode would be developed to ideal form, we would be able to
set how many voices we use from six tracks. For example we might
choose to use 3 voices for chord sequencing and then there would be 3
tracks left for monosequencing. It would also be great if we could
choose to 'rotate' only one track for voices or multiple tracks
(creative chords sequencing). With this I mean that you select track
number 2 for polymode (3 voices). In track you have Superwave-
machine, so every voice out of 3 is that superwavemachine. But if you
would choose tracks 2 and 3 for polymode (3 voices) then first note
would be use track 2 (example superwave) and second one would use
track 3 (example sid) and then superwave again and so on...
This just occured to my mind other day, I guess it's too much hazzle
to develop and brings up some difficulties, nevertheless I chose to
put it up here, maybe it brings some other cool ideas for mono
development.

By the way, in the midi tracks recording of keyboard doesn't work
yet, would be nice if we got it in the next verion of OS (very
tedious to program from display only).

Toni.

ps. any new versions of manual available? Could be put on the
monobeta site.

Yes, and also to trig the arpeggiator when not in poly mode.

Don't get your hopes up, this will not happen. We need to stay
somewhat in the monophonic domain. :)
