Ok ok....some Sid Station conversation

Ok ok....some Sid Station conversation

Ok so I have a contest for all you SidStation users...ok so there is
no prize other than youll be really cool and be able to gloat that
you were the first/best to respond. Anyhow there is now an MP3 file
in "Files > audio > SidStation" called "SidWant.mp3"...can anyone
figure out how to make these sounds on a SidStation?

dunno - but it sounds to me that this is a little bit more as just
one sidstation. i guess there is a bit of signal processing and
sampler involved - the lead sound is little chordish and maybee there
is quadrasid used or something- where did you get this from? btw:
check out my mp3 ;)

It is definatly multiple sids...there is the lead, bass, etc in there
and they do sound somewhat processed. I really love the lead sound
and would love something close to it...hence the post :) I got the
sample from the demo of the Ueberschall (http://www.ueberschall.com/)
cd titled "8 bit stylez". They are a German sample company...very
good stuff from what I have heard.

I have to agree...I am not a big fan of my samplers as a whole but
they do serve their purpose. I prefer a real synth but I am not very
good at sound editing without a GUI where I can see more than a few
paramaters at once. I keep hoping that they will add SidStation
support to MidiQuest but so far no such luck...maybe someday someone
will come out with a SidStation editing program...untill then I must
regress to using pre-programed sounds to make anything usefull come
out of my SidStation.

Hey Pas,

I love the Œ8 Bit Stylez¹ CD - kept me warm for awhile as I saved up for a
SidStation :)

Yes the miniature screen is a bit of a bugger, isn't it...
