monomachine sysex problems

2003-12-07 by zebraoner

howdy all,
i just got my monomachine like 3 days ago, and its eating away at my
brain
(in a good way)
i upgraded to the newest os right away, which was .93 at the time,
with no problemo. then i see that .94 comes out yesterday so i back
up all my kits, patterns, songs, etc. and try updating to the new os,
well i tryed like 10 times using midiox and sendsx and everytime i
get some error message. once it just didnt do anything, meaning
frozen. i did a reset for some stupid reason, and when i try to send
all of my backed up stuff from my computer, it only gets part of it,
like it just stops recieving data or something while the computer of
course continues in the data transfer. but i only get part of all my
stuff into the MM, the rest never gets there. know what i mean?

has anyone else had anything like this happen?

i would have posted it on the beta page, but i was wondering if it
was just me being retarded or if it actually was a problem, happening
to other people.

Hmm, i know what the problem with midi-ox is maybe this solution
will help. I had a lot of problems loading the OS too.
t has something to do with the buffers in midi-ox they are way to
low configured.
Go to pull-down menu ACTIONS and click on CONFIGURE BUFFERS.
Set both SIZE's on 2048 and both NUM's on 512.
Should work fine after that.

Ronald.

Also be sure that the latest download wasn't corrupted in a way...
If the buffer settings didn't help, try it 0.93 again, just to be sure
that MM is on save side. Be aware that with these buffersettings the
download needs very long time...
