da
ja
yes

you got 2 inputs on it thus the ability to trig 2 chosen sounds

OK, thanks a lot, thats great. Is it possible to get a different
velocity or to vary any other parameter depending on the strength of
the input, the pad/drum hits?

/Martin

Nope, no velocity, or expression. Just trigger.

And, last time I checked, you cannot record these triggers.

Yes you can set velocity and sensitivity. Check the users manual! And
I think you can record them, because they are assigned to any of the
16 drums and they should work like pressing the trig-buttons and
therefore be possible to record in realtime recording. Someone said
it's not possible to record them though so maybe I'm wrong.

OK, thanks. I had another look in the manual and now found the
passage. Could not find anything on recording though. I have been
thinking about getting a Machinedrum and this triggering thing might
do the trick.

Thanks again to everyone who answered my questions,
Martin

Re: Machinedrum Triggering Internal through External

isn't it also possible to use midi to trigger the sounds in the
machinedrum? and I don't mean with a sequencer.

using either v-drum pads or something like the Roland SPD-20,
couldn't you trigger any number (only limited by the number of pads)
of sounds? I hope this is the case, because I was considering to buy
something like the spd-20 to allow live playing of my MD.
