[MnM] Triggering patterns from a DAW?

[MnM] Triggering patterns from a DAW?

2004-01-23 by puretokyo2002

Trying to get my head around the Midi Implementation part of the manual...

Say I want to play Pattern B08, how would I trigger it from a computer sequencer (I
use DP4)? And if I want to change to, say, Pattern B10 on the fly?

How do I do the same on my MD as well?

All help appreciated :)

Angus.

I'm surprised nobody answered this yet...
Anyway there is a menu in the Global menu. This is MD. I dont have
mnm but I assume it's similar. I believe it's the midi menu. There
is a pattern key map. Look for the Map part of the Midi menu. It
should show the pattern and a key. You can change the key and press
enter. I don't know more than this because I've never used it. I
think there is more in the manual.

the MnM equivalent is: "global->control->multimap edit" and then set the
note you wish to use to trigger a specific pattern (offsets and lengths of
the pattern playback are also programmable in this menu).

also, you need to use: "global->control->midi chanls->multi map ch" to set
the MIDI channel you wish to use to trig the patterns using the notes.

hope that helps!
