mpc & MD

2004-02-05 by John Whiting

at the moment i am using the mpc as the master , md as slave. i bought the mpc 1000 for live use and was hoping to have to md playing while loading new programs on the mpc . this idea may not work because i cant stop the mpc without stopping the md , and you need to stop the mpc to load!!

maybe i will try the reverse way, but your right ...... two days isnt enough time for me to sus it out during the week anyway.

will keep you updated... the interface on the mpc is very cool i think. as opposed to the md it is less 'pc like' and you need the learn the terminology but then its very fast to work with.

Try making a "song" into a one sequense. That way you can just press
next seq when u whant to switch song and program. The downside is
that it isn´t very live...

If you find a better way let me know! ;) I´ve got the same set up..

i think its safe to say they are very different, and each machine has
its own strengths.
saying the 909(or 808, 606 707) is crap is your opinion, which you
are entitled to.
I just want to mention how many succesful songs have been made with
that old machine..

something the MD has yet to prove.

The future will show it...
