MnM: Distortion

MnM: Distortion

2004-02-09 by ofthicktum

Hi
Has anyone noticed that the MnM's distortion setting default appears to be "-6"
whenever you select a new machine or select a empty kit? I am running OS.1.01. Is
this a minor bug or "just the way it is"?
I always have turn it all the way up to "0" to get a decent level. Or maybe Its beacause
i like it nice and crunchy.
Thanks
David

Turning up the distortion to '0' should actually reduce distortion, as
the distortion setting dictates the level of amplitude at which one
will begin to hear distortion.

Well, more specifically, distortion controls the amount of headroom,
for both the filter and the EQ. It's best to refer to the effects
section of the manual to really understand.

Known bug, hopefully. I dropped by Elektron last week to try to recreate a
bug (didn't succeed...), and then noticed that. One of the guys there said
"Hmm... how did you do that? Ah! I'll fix it!". I do not know if someone
has reported it though. Better a duplicate bug than no bug at all!
