Turning up the distortion to '0' should actually reduce distortion, as
the distortion setting dictates the level of amplitude at which one
will begin to hear distortion.
Well, more specifically, distortion controls the amount of headroom,
for both the filter and the EQ. It's best to refer to the effects
section of the manual to really understand.
