md inputs

2004-02-26 by Jeff Storm

Hey all I just recieved my machinedrum. I haven't had a huge amount of time yet to sit down with it but the programming interface seems nice. I had a question about the inputs. I checked the manual but it didn't talk about this. Can I use the L+R inputs as 2 mono inputs to be processed seperatly? Kind of like a mini mixer of sorts. I would like to drive my monosynth of choice into one input and my xbase into the other. I think that would make a kick ass live show.

I would probably just try it out but its a pain to rewire stuff just to find out it doesnt work. Thanks.

Jeff,
congrats on the MD purchase! I'm sure you'll love it :-)

yes, the inputs do exactly as you want. you'll just have to use a machine
for each of them (leaving you with 2 fewer internal machine tracks); one
for input A and one for B. I use them all the time to gate the noise
from my Sidstation.

Have fun!
Joe
