anyone have any tips? I'm jumping in with both feet, so if there are any
good pointers for "first night out" with either of these beauties - let me
know :D

read the manual basics before they get there (so you at least know how to get
around the OS). and try out the Mono presets *with a joystick* (or if you
got the tabletop version, a suitable alternative).  that seems to be a good
jumping off point.

thanks :D I've read through the MD manual like a bible - now on to the mono manual!

I've ordered the tabletop, as I have a remote 25 to use to control the two of them. It's got a 
joystick and an xy pad, so I hope that works with the same degree of usability as the 
elektron joystick :D

it should, BUT you have to assign controller #2 to them as well (not sure
which one or how, though). the MnM manual should describe these in detail
(I have the KB, so I didn't read any details on this). hopefully that works,
cuz the demos are pretty damn boring without a joystick controller going.
