Missing Bank of Factory Presets in MnM

Missing Bank of Factory Presets in MnM

2004-04-04 by allen949@aol.com

I think that my "D" bank is missing. There are no presets there, though
banks A, B and C are full. I am brand new to this machine (it arrived last week)
and I have not done anything with it except to audition some of the presets.

If there is a "D" bank that I am missing from the MnM, is there a way to
restore it?

Thanks,
Allen

banks D though H are all empty when you receive your machine.

you can always revert back to the presets included with the OS by doing
a factory reset. though this also deletes anything you've added to the
machine's memory.

Have fun!

Thanks for the speedy reply.

Why is it then that my manual (page 18) says:

Select a pattern, ranging from A01-D16. All the Monomachine presets are
located in this range.

(This text I simply pasted from the PDF file of the manual)

hmmm....then perhaps I'm mistaken... but I'm about 99% sure that there
were none starting at bank D, since that's where my own patterns start
in my MnM, and I remember starting them right after the presets. perhaps
the manual says that and they were hoping to fill that many banks when
it was written?

but again, if you want to check for sure you can do a factory reset.

All the presets _are_ located in that range, it just isn't _full_
yet. The reason they wrote this in the manual is because they intend
to add presets in a later OS update, and these will fill up the D
bank. They mentioned that the next batch may be monophonic presets
that are not meant to be played in multi-mode.
