MD_SID_MnM Demos+MnM Case

2004-04-10 by Jonathan Lukens

Hi all. Lurker on this list for awhile. 2 things:

1. Awhile back there was some discussion of MnM cases. I ended up
buying the one from Calzone, and I haven't traveled with it yet, but it
seems nice and sturdy. I just used the specs that some were discussed
with them previously.

2. There are some demos here using MD, MnM and SID
http://retconned.com/demos/

Though many are just rough parts and are as yet unstructured. FYI- I do
not make any type of dance or techno music, and came out of the DIY/
Punk community ( though my music is not especially popular with them
these days ) also, some of these pieces will have electric guitar and
acoustic snare and hi-hat added- and vocals, of course.

Ironically, my last record ( http://retconned.com/ )was accused of
being played out because it sounded like I just made the whole thing on
a SID, before I ever had a SID. I actually resampled most of the sounds
at 8bits and then added distortion before sequencing. Did it all on an
ensoniq asrx- awful machine.

Anyway, as long as I am shooting my mouth off I just want to say that I
am more than pleased with Elektron's products, my only real feature
request is an easier way to sync my MnM and MD especially re: using MnM
to sequence MD muting and unmuting tracks in song mode. That is, song
modes being linked across machines.

thanks,
retconned
