monomachine and note length

2004-04-09 by Jacques Le Honsec

Hi from france.
I'm the proud owner of a Monomahine and I often use it
on stage as part of my rig as a synthesiser in
Polymode.
I encounter one problem: It's synchronised by Midi
clock to my Roland MC909 and , when I play notes, they
stop after one mesure length despite the fact that
the MC909 isn't sending any message apart from the
Midi clock to synchronise the LFO's.
I thought having 2 or 3 bars patterns would solve the
problem but it doesn't, the mono machine keeps on
cutting the notes after one measure length.Does anyone
have a solution or is it "normal" or a known bug?
Excuse my english .Thanks in advance
Jacques

are you using the MIDI channels for this? because their
maximum note length isn't very long, really. if you're using the internal
tracks, you should be able to set the envelope to "hold" your notes by
changing the HOLD and REL parameters appropriately (127 is a permanent
hold, for example). but I've not tested this thoroughly, so I could
be wrong here.
