Tonight I bought the Dave Smith Evolver because I couldn't get me a sidstation cause they are to much money and the store I get my music gear from lets me do payments, anyhow I have been wanting a evolver for some time now and I hope I made a wise choice at purchasing one. Anyone own one if so how do you like it with your elektron gear?

I do. I like it a lot. it's a great little synth for pretty much everything. I seem to enjoy it the most when I sit down and program a sequence as a standalone thing. but then I never use those sequences with anything for some reason. but it's also great to program it monophonically from the MnM. it's very easy to use. it's also fun to route digital synths through its analog side and/or use it as an effects unit. one great thing about the Evo is that there are tons of modulations with almost anything as a destination. kind of like the MD/MnM LFO's but with the addition of utility modulation slots. anyway, these add up to complex, evolving patches. have fun! It's only because I can make payments intrest free on it that I decided to get it, I don't wanna use my crdt cards right now, if u know wut i mean ahehe. Besides I have some other gear to sell in the future to get me a sidstation. --- Joe Melnyk <jmelnyk@...> wrote: > On May 13, 2004, at 11:07 PM, AUTO from AUTOMATIC > PANIC wrote: > > > Tonight I bought the Dave Smith Evolver because I > couldn't get me a > > sidstation cause they are to much money and the > store I get my music > > gear from lets me do payments, anyhow I have been > wanting a evolver > > for some time now and I hope I made a wise choice > at purchasing one. > > weird. an Evolver costs about as much as a used > Sidstation. but then > again, you > can't make payments on an eBay purchase (unless you > can use a credit > card > for it). > > > Anyone own one if so how do you like it with your > elektron gear? > > I do. 3 years ago I subscribed yahoogroups, I have no idea what email adress I used and Pseudonym I used and what password. I checked all 600 members, and couldn\ufffdt identify myself. I keep getting emails, and the only way to post emails is because I have made another account. I don\ufffdt understand this Flo

A historic moment. I managed to unsubscribe my old subscription! I found my email adress in the message header of a newsgroup message (see below), I set up a mail account to be able to use this email as sender adress and unsubscribed. (you cannot post to yahoogroups from another adress, thats the problem) best Flo

I own an md, mnm, evolver and ion as my synths. They complement each other quite well. All very tasty. :) -Chris * AUTO from AUTOMATIC PANIC (thesoundzoneinfo@...) wrote:

I'm gonna be very happy with it! It's a very nice little box with lot's of power. Check the software also, it can do great mutations of two existing patches making 128 variations on it, works very good. It also can handle your library and give names to the patches. Making sequences on it is mostly trail and error with me, it's always a surprise where it's going. Ronald.

That's what I am going to get as soon as it get's here I will order the software. I have heard many amazing sounds from a couple of the evolver sites and I can't wait to make up some noise with mine. :) __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? I've found that it can be fun to send the notes to it from the mnm, while using the Evolver sequencer for other tasks...
