while i wallow in gear lust as i save up money for my MnM and MD it would be great to hear some Elektron-charged tracks, rather than listening to the same old audio demos at the Elektron site while i drool and stare at the pretty pictures. so c'mon, post some links!

I believe that most people who have posted links to their MD and MnM work have links in this section. hope that helps! Joe

Since I got rid of my PC laptop I haven't been able to record audio. I have a wami box which is only usable for pc laptops. Anyone want to buy one? I have to be honest and say it is not easy to set up. And it has RCA. I guess it's good for tapes and record players. It also has digital inputs and midi (questionable). I'm gonna save for a Live bundle. I am working on tracks. One is almost finished. They are much better than my other tracks. I'm happy enough knowing I'm progressing. --- In elektron-users@yahoogroups.com, "tj297" <tj297@y...> wrote: > while i wallow in gear lust as i save up money for my MnM and MD it would be great to > hear some Elektron-charged tracks, rather than listening to the same old audio demos at > the Elektron site while i drool and stare at the pretty pictures. so c'mon, post some links!

It's on June 4th so I've got a lot of studio time ahead of me :) -Chris * Flo Zombie (newsgroups@...) wrote:

All the tracks on this site were made with the MachineDrum and one mashed up old sample (per song) in Ableton Live. This is the smalllest and best setup I have ever had, my PB12²,an 828, Live and the MD, totally portable and totally heaven. The tracks are for fans of woozy microhouse in a Gas or Murcof vein; http://homepage.mac.com/jhopfner/ [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

ditto on several accounts: - the fun of a 12" Pbook running Ableton (though I'm a recent convert to both of these) - MnM and MD love (duh!) - totally loving this music; I'm on my third song right now. Thanks so much for sharing a link to your music, Jason. Keep it up! Joe

I was thinking of getting rid of my ms2000 and indigo 2 and getting the ableton package with the RME. I like what I hear from the Knowing Looks. I like the droning side. It's like an improvement on the whole Micro-dance thing. This is just from one song. You'll be liked on my iPod. If I find your disc in a record store I'll be sure to buy it. --- In elektron-users@yahoogroups.com, <rajcoont@h...> wrote: > All the tracks on this site were made with the MachineDrum and one mashed up > old sample (per song) in Ableton Live. Hi, Been a while since my last post but now I have some new "ear candy" It's a long, slow building downtempo track wich you'll have to listen in a relaxed state of mind, with your eyes closed, etc... If listened to in the right way I guarantee a nice trip of 13 minutes and a bit ;-) http://roonan.fiberworld.nl/Demo/Roonan-Demo-2004-007.mp3 Enjoy! Ronald. Gear used: MnM (4 tracks, one pattern) MD (4 tracks, one pattern) Korg ESX (2 tracks, one pattern) Evolver (1 pattern) Korg Kaoss pad and Sherman Filterbank 2

yeah, Ableton Live is just awesome. it's really inspiring to use. it's so e= asy to use it hurts. so nice to get away from Logic and all those windows and menus. everything = in Live is right in front of you. gives you the chance to actually make music, rather = than compute. --- In elektron-users@yahoogroups.com, "endlessnessisticman" <endlessnessisticman@y...> wrote: > I was thinking of getting rid of my ms2000 and indigo 2 and getting > the ableton package with the RME. Another thing is that I'm in Korea now so shipping would be a bit. I'd rather get rid of the Indigo first.

Thanks for the positive feedback folks, glad you like the songs, I like them a lot too, the sound in my head is just about what I am able to produce now, and that¹s a great feeling. It¹s nice to be at a point where you know your music is strong instead of worrying whether people will like it or not....it took me long enough to get to that point! Despite what many say, I do believe gear is a large factor in it. For years I worked on songs and hated the end result, Live allowed me to compose in the way I always wished I could, rather than hopefully finding a way to make things work in every other sequencer I tried and hated for year after year. If Live wasn¹t out, these songs would never had gotten made, but enough fanboy talk in the wrong forum. Tjwett, I am on the ableton forum and pop my head in every couple days, I¹ve seen your posts on their before, I¹ll check out your tracks soon. Thanks again for the kind words jason My mp3¹s d/l able at http://homepage.mac.com/jhopfner > > > > > DOOD! i'm loving this stuff, right up my alley. hey, and you and i have a v= > ery similar setup. > i'm using a 12" PowerBook, Ableton Live, and soon my MnM and MD. tell Ablet= > on Live isn't > the absolute shit. i've been on it since version 1 and it totally changed e= > verything for me. > you should check out the Ableton forum if you already don't, some good talk= > s going on > over there from time to time. and good use of your dotmac homepage, i shoul= > d really do > something with that space myself. there should be some files up of tracks i= > 'm currently > working on, hate, or have given up on. feel free to check em out if you wan= > t: > > http://homepage.mac.com/tjwett [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
