where to try MM in NYC?

where to try MM in NYC?

2004-06-21 by nycthinker

Hi - I want to feel and try the monomachine out before I buy it.
Anyone know of a place in New York City that has one to try out?

I dont know a specific place to go in NYC, but if you go to the
elektron website and click on partners you should get a worldwide
list of people and businesses where you can check it out face to
face. Check there, if theres no one, then i dont know.

They have one at Two Lines music on 48th street and 7th ave near Sam
Ash - don't think they have any in stock to sell, but you can lay on
hands and tweak for a while :D

Really great shop too - lot's of vintage gear, and they stock
metasonix fx.

Ok I went to this store yesterday and it completely rocks, they have so much
vintage stuff there it's almost like a museum. Very cool. And I got to play
with monomachine, and I have to say all you guys that made patches for it,
great job! their all awesome imo. I never had that much fun jamming on
presets on a synth before :) I have been having second thoughts and maybe I
could live without it but playing with the MnM completely convinced me I
must own it!

Very cool :D

I spend alot of time hanging out there when I can - great place to
chill, and the crew that works there are definitely into their gear
and are always happy to plug something in and let you make some
noise :P

Meant to say also - I have the tabletop Mono unit as well as an MD in
my studio in Astoria (well, studio is a figurative term) and would be
cool with people stopping by to check it out. Drop me a line through
my site if you want to find a time that works.
