Elektron Musical Instruments

my machinedrum is sending the wrong midi messages. when a note is 
entered into the sequencer, it plays the note on my external gear BUT 
when the note off message is sent at the end of the note ANOTHER note 
is played exactly 2 octaves and one note higher than the selected one!
its pretty wak.
can anyone replicate this? 
BTW. i love all the new features!
