Bug in MD os 1.19?

Bug in MD os 1.19?

2004-07-18 by endlessnessisticman

I don't know if it is specific to 1.19 but I programmed it in 1.12b
and now it has changed.

In 32/32 x2 scale (it was in theis scale before I updated to 1.19) I
can't hear the 2,4,6,8, and etc programmed drum tracks (maybe I should
check the midi tracks too). If I have a snare on 6 7 and 8 for
example I don't hear it. I even restarted the MD. I wonder if others
are having this problem or if it is just me. After I get input from
others here I'll notify Elektron, unless Daniel comes back soon. I
want to make sure it really is a problem. I also want to make sure
it's not just me.

It's a bummer cuz I was going back over these sequences in bank A to
do some touch ups. And then I realize all the drums weren't sounding.
I was getting it ready to record and everything. I guess I could
just do the regular 16/16 scale ones. But I want to get these things
recorded and empty the memory.

Erase all your presets and patches everyone! Send them to the trash
and never share them. Patches aren't sacred. Good night.

geez, bit over-dramatic. why don't you revert back to OS1.12 so that
you can
record your work while the bugs are worked out? you did back up before
upgrading, didn't you?

remember this is 1.19b....as in beta.....as in test mode and possibly
buggy.

Yea, it was kind of late when I wrote it. But I have taken up part of
the Matthew Herbert dogma with the patches. It kind of ensures
creativity on my own part. It also keeps my hands on the MD. It is
also a way of mental relief. I can forget the old stuff.

I'm going to keep the 1.19. Looking for other bugs. I have sent a
report to elektron. I got a reply that Daniel? (DE?) will be on
vacation until the end of the month. Gotta love those compulsory
Scandinavian holidays.

That recording can wait. I can get started on recording the others.

Anyone else able to reproduce the bug I mentioned?

I've submitted two bug reports on this OS already. My most problematic one sounds like it
may be related to yours. Are you experiencing this in pattern mode or song mode?

What I have found is that chained patterns in song mode do not correctly switch kits/recall
kit parameters. So, if you have a song made of Pattern A1 + Pattern A2 + Pattern A1,
assuming 1 and 2 are using different kits, the 2nd instance of Pattern A1 will not have all
the proper settings.

Why are we all such suckers for new features? :)
