Cheap Sysex Backup

Cheap Sysex Backup

2004-08-04 by Tom S.

Hi Guys,

I am trying to back up my MD using midi-ox. But it
seems to just "go away" sometime during the big sysex
dump. What do you guys use to backup your MD data?

I basically want to just go "dump everything into a
file" so I can later say "make my machine drum just
like it was on oct. 17 2003" etc.

Any recommends?

Tom

Try dumpster. I have used it to save but haven't tried it much for
loading. It is really simple. Maybe should have a copy in the files
section here?

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
