Monomachine Drum Sounds

2004-09-06 by analog_geek

I have went through hundreds of posts within this group listening to
every track that I could find on the monomachine. When I first
stumbled across the monomachine I was very exited. But when I went to
the Elektron web site and listened to the demos I wasnt impressed by
the drums. So I purchased the MC-909. Now that I found this group and
have been listening to the mp3 posts I relized that I made a mistake.
My questions are:

Ive heard some great drum tracks done with the monomachine but I was
wondering if anyone here found the drum sounds limiting?

How many different drum sounds are there within the monomachine?

Keep up the good work everyone who has posted a link to there songs
done with elektron products. I am hearing some pretty interesting
sounds and finally getting a grasp on the sonic range of these
instruments. Thank you all!!

download the manual - that will give you a great snapshot of what the monomachine can
do.

the dry dbox samples are pretty gay but i suppose there's two reasons
for that:
1) machinedrum (if monomachine had the same drumsynthesis who would
buy machinedrum?)
2) elektron challenges you to use your imagination with all tweakable
parameters with all the synhesis methods

you can do cool drumsounds with MnM but it's not always fast'n'easy
