Sysex dump problems

I am trying to do a sysex dump from my MachineDrum to ProTolls v6.4. I set protools up to record when triggered on a midi track, then I start my dump from the MD. ProTools starts to record, I get a region but it has no sysex data. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -Paul
