You load the keymap file it should then load the samples for that file in awave
But if the z8 can read e3
Just do the conversion to e3 format or convert to sf2 and use awave studio which does do the akai conversion correctly as I use it for the sts osc in the bcmodular

What sound libraries do the Z4 and Z8 support?
The Z-Series samplers support .WAV files, Akai
S1000 libraries, Akai S3000 libraries, Akai S5000/S6000 libraries,
Emu E3 and E4 libraries and Roland S700 series libraries.
I got Awave Studio and tried to load the S1000 files but no luck so far!
