Best thing todo is make a cdrom image and make a cdrom or a cfcard once you have loaded it you can then save to z8 on the pata drive

I can also make s5000 files if you need them as I have the full libraries

Jammie - thanks mate, I have now tried as EIII as well, but unfortunately no joy.

Lorne - thanks you very much for your kind offer. Can Translator make Akai S1000 / Emu EIII format USB drives?

E-Synthesist - Thanks for your explanation, I was begining to think the same thing. I tried to format a USB drive in EIII format, but EMXP doesn't seem to want to do that. Should that be possible?

Otherwise, I guess it will format a SCSI HDD in EIII format, and that may be an avenue. I'd have to install my SCSI card in my computer, then instal a SCSI hard drive, format it in EIII format with EMXP, transfer the files, remove the drive, install it into the Z8, hope it opens them, then save them onto a USB drive on the Z8! Does anyone think that wouldn't work?

Cheers!
